Road Trips -Gravenhurst, Ontario - The Good Brothers - On The Barge
If you are wanting something special to do this weekend a trip up to Muskoka just might be the answer. Head out early so you can take in the The Baysville Riverfront Classic and Antique Boat Show in Baysville. Its a relatively small show so you will only require an hour to an hour and a half to see it all. If you like the sound of a steel pan drum orchestra Northern Lights will be there so you may need a little more time to take in their show.
After some great BBQ food and wandering around the town a little head on over to Gravenhurst (it's on the way back home anyway) and take in a a concert by the Good Brothers at Gull Lake Park 7:30 pm
They come by water,

They sit on the beach,
They sit on the sand.
This week The Good Brothers will entertain you as your children frolic in the water beside the stage.

Directions to the Barge From Uxbridge take hwy 12 north to 169 north to hyw 11 north to interchange 169 Bethune Drive, Gravenhurst. Follow Bethune Drve to the Park Admission is Free with a collection being taken up during the performance. Rain Venue is the Gravenhurst Opera House at 295 Muskoka Rd. South in Gravenhurst.

Brian - if the price tag is holding you back there are other options .... it is certainly close enough for day trips ..... you can stay at a resort ..... you can buy a time share or fractional ownership ..... it all depends on your budget and the amount and type of use you expect to put it to.
Kathy - Looks like a nice day trip for people in the Greater Toronto Area..
Marc - an excellent day trip with some great scenery along the way especially if one takes the time to travel some of the back roads in the area.
